I've done Book Slam a few times now. It has no right to be so reliably brilliant.
Joe Dunthorne is a novelist, poet and centre forward. His acclaimed first novel, 'Submarine' was turned into a hugely successful film by Richard Ayoade. His latest is 'Wild Abandon'. He has read at Book Slam a lot, partly because he's prolific, partly because he's brilliant. His story 'When I'm Sixty-four' appears in 'One For The Trouble - Book Slam Vol.1'.
