Book Slam Bristol

The Birdcage

With feet itching, pulses racing and travelcards flexing, we headed back to Bristol in the company of three of our very favourite writers. NIKESH SHUKLA was once again in the proverbial hotseat - author, blogger and literary good egg. He was joined by BERNARDINE EVARISTO who introduced us to her latest novel, 'Mr Loverman' - funny, surprising and effortlessly tender; and local hero EMYLIA HALL (who, incidentally, writes an excellent occasional column for Book Slam) reading from her own new novel, 'A Heart Bent Out Of Shape'. Plus, the wonderful LOCKS sang bittersweet songs of love and other things.
