The Grand

Book Slam anticipated a rite of Spring that was light, airy and full of Stravinskyan dissonance - but we were prepared: dib dib dib. Pack leaders for the night included the inimitable WILL SELF, reading from 'Umbrella', shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize, and PATRICK NESS, author of the bestselling 'Chaos Walking' trilogy, who introducing us to his latest novel, 'The Crane Wife'. There was music from the startling talent that is GEORGE EZRA, and all was stitched together by Akela, DOMINIC FRISBY.
