Book Slam in Octorber will be full of highs, lows and so-now-you-knows featuring some of the most stimulating writers and thinkers of our day. Guests include LAURA BATES, the woman behind the phenomenon that is the Everyday Sexism Project, the truly extraordinary poetry of CHIMÈNE SULEYMAN reading from her debut collection, 'Outside Looking On', and our old friend SALENA GODDEN introducing her long awaited memoir, 'Springfield Road'. Hosting duties are once again taken on by the brillo pads FELICITY WARD who apparently told the tenth funniest joke at the 2014 Edinburgh Festival. More guests will be confirmed shortly. For this event, we've teamed up with Women's Aid, the key national charity working to end domestic violence against women and children, and we've added £1 to our usual ticket price, which will go directly to the charity. Thank you in advance for your consideration and generosity.
In honour of the publication of 'One For The Trouble' and in line with our ongoing obsession with bespokery, we've produced a very limited edition range of cotton tour Tees, with the title on the front, loud and proud, and a list of contributors on the back. They're very cool and available in a choice of black.
We've also got some 'One For The Trouble' Tote bags, which come in blue, green and yellow, and will match any outfit involving said colours. They are modelled in the above picture by the best looking members of Team Book Slam, Emily and Bernie.
