May sees Book Slam cut a rug in the company of some of the finest artists ever to shuffle their soft shoes. Guests include ANNIE MACMANUS (aka "Annie Mac"), renowned broadcaster, DJ and author of the Sunday Times bestseller Mother Mother. She'll be unveiling her stunning new novel The Mess We're In.

Joining Annie is journalist and author EMMA WARREN who has been one of the most important voices documenting grassroots music culture for more than 20 years. Her book Dance Your Way Home is a landmark social history of the dancefloor and vital reading for anyone whose ever shaken a leg or even tapped a toe.

Music comes from the astonishing vocal talent that is BINA. who mixes touches of neo-soul, old jazz and torn R 'n' B through a South London filter to create a unique sound all of her own. And stitching it all together is our dear friend and favourite comedian, FELICITY WARD.

We also welcome the very excellent MUSEUM OF YOUTH CULTURE, so please bring along any photos, flyers or other memorabilia from the '90s, Noughties or whenever to be scanned on the night and added to their amazing archive. Come join us to trip the light fantastic …
